If you have a kid that is totally into science (like mine) or if you just want to see if they could be, then you might find this post useful.
I remember Science when I was a kid....not that fun. Now you have people everywhere explaining it in cool ways. I think that could be a real benefit for the future.
Here's a list of my top three favorite (kid approved) Science Channels...but before I go any further, I do want to say that these are all channels found on You Tube. So, before sitting your child down to watch these shows, might I suggest you download the You Tube For Kids app. It's free and kid friendly.
Now onto the list:
Bill Nye The Science Guy
The videos may be old, but they're still good. Bill Nye gives a lot of information about Science, in fun and interesting ways. I always liked that he made science easy to understand and the great thing is that kids now can still relate. Luka's entire 6 grade class watched them last year, and the explanations helped them understand things a great deal.
Science Bob has been on Jimmy Kimmel Live and other kids TV Shows. The one thing I noticed about him is that he does like to focus more on science experiments...and he does it in a big way. Which is always fun to witness, especially for kids. This channel is just fun and I heard a lot of "WOW!!!" while the kids watched the videos. So it got their interest.
SciShow did have a science channel geared more towards adults...but now they have a kids version called SciShow Kids. There's also SciShow Space which is pretty interesting especially if your child is really fascinated by space. What I love about SciShow is their subject matter and how they explain things in such a simple and fun way. You can find videos like "Why Is The Sky Blue?" or "What's In A Bean?" and so much more. Go check them out. The kids I have seen, like this channel the most.
Now Onto You Does your kid love Science? What science channels do they love the most? Tell me in the comments below.
