I was amazed to see the amount of interest the sixth grade glass last year had in Science. They were incredibly excited to do their experiments for science week and, you know what? They weren't the only ones. Everyone from kindergarteners to adults were just as interested. Man, what if we could keep that interest going. Imagine what could come from it?
In the spirit of trying to keep that interest going here are a few awesome sites I have found along the way.
Steve Spangler Science
Steve Spangler Science boxes put science right in your kids hands every month. I love it!!! For a while there we were just watching Science videos...and yes, we could have gotten all of the stuff we needed (and many times we did) but this is SO much easier.
Groovy Lab In A Box
Here you have science meets engineering. Groovy Lab In A Box is still STEM based with a twist. Here you go through the engineering design process and is over all alot more in depth.
Geared more towards kids 9 and older, the Little Passport box makes things fun by guiding kids through Science experiments using story characters. To take it a step further each box even comes with a comic book to keep the story line going!
Now Onto You
Do your kids love Science? How have you been keeping their interest going? Are you interested in any of these options? If so, which ones? Tell me in the comments below.
