My niece is so incredibly creative...and she's almost 9! The thing is, she hides it. She isn't always comfortable being creative and she doesn't always show her art. I don't know why.
I wanted to support this side of her. So I started to look for ways to do that. These are some of the great things I have found.
Personalized Art Kit
Available at Walmart (online only)...you can have a high quality complete kids art set customized with your child (or in my case my niece's) name. I got this for Danika for her birthday and she LOVES it and uses it all the time. What I love about it is that it introduces her to more than colored pencils. With this art kit there are markers, water colors, as well as, acrylics. There is also an artist eraser and high quality sharpener all neatly organized inside.
More than just arts and crafts the Kiwi Co Doodle Crate introduces kids to different types of art projects and techniques. Each monthly crate box is different so your kid can always be exposed to something different. What I also love is the online videos that help give even more tips and tricks. This keeps Danika exploring.
My Pretend Place
Oh my gosh, this one I love! Dani loves to dress up...especially as a pirate so when I saw the first image on the My Pretend Place website I was sold. Honestly, the whole concept of this box gets me excited. What better way to support her creativity then giving her an excuse every month to be someone new.
Now Onto You
