I think the journey towards creating this website started years ago, when my son was first going to school and was diagnosed with Aspergers, a high functioning form of Autism, and then ADHD and dyslexia years later.
There have been many challenges along this road...and I've learned a lot along the way. Much of which I wish to share here. But the biggest lesson I have learned so far has been... to EMBRACE the person my son is.
Every child is different. You can't and shouldn't compare them. Nor should you compare their progress. Each child has something unique to offer and so much they can bring to the table. If we let them.
Their diversity is necessary and their individuality should be nourished and supported so that it can blossom into its full potential.
Because this is what births new ways of thinking and seeing things. Which brings forth discovery. That discovery is the fertile ground of innovation.
...and the world needs more of it. Don't you agree?
This is what this website is all about and I hope you will support it. Here you will find a lot of resources and, of course, if you would like to share your story, you can do so via the contribution page .
Thanks for stopping by,
